Alain Thuleau has worked professionally in both public cultural institutions and in private structures, which have allowed him to become an expert of the structure and expectations of cultural operators. Having specialized in the development and production of artworks and artistic projects, he has also developed an in-depth knowledge of financial engineering, sponsorship programs, and consulting for public collectivities, brands, and businesses.
From 1984 to 1990, he gained experience in the world of live performance while working with the Châtelet Theatre, Paris Opera, and in the traveling productions for these sites. Then, for ten years, he developed projects for cultural institutions with the Divisions of Cultural Events for the City of Paris and the Ministry of Culture for Mission 2000 in France.
In 2001, he returned to the private sector and created Carat Culture, a subsidiary of cultural engineering for the Groupe Carat France. He supervised the production and organization of major cultural events: Nuit Blanche 2005, Photoquai, Dans la Nuit des Images, La Force de l'Art, les Trésors Engloutis d'Egypte, etc.
Alain Thuleau has a deep understanding of the inner workings of local collectivities due to the large number of missions he completed for the cities of Paris, Toulouse, Nantes, Nanterre, Bordeaux, Metz, and Marseille, just to name a few.
He created Artevia in January 2009.
